GIRL SCOUT TROOP DONATES COOKIES
May 22, 2018 Girl Scouts in Cadette Troop 4279 from Galesville-Ettrick-Trempealeau donated 12 cases (144 boxes) of Girl Scout Cookies to the USO.
The Girl Scouts presented the cookies to a USO volunteer at the La Crosse Municipal Airport
USO Lounge on Sunday, May 20.
Cookie Share allows customers to purchase cookies to be donated to a cause determined by the troop. Customers pay for the cookies but do not receive them. At the end of the sale, the cookies are donated to the troop’s chosen cause.
Troop 4279 co-leader Aimee Siegler says the girls have always chosen to donate their Cookie Share to the military in some way – one year it was Operation Homefront and another year the cookies went directly to Fort McCoy.
