USO Coffee Connections

How did Coffee Connections get started?

On average, military spouses can move up to 12 times in the span of a 20-year military career, which often results in having to start over at each location, dealing with the struggles of meeting new people and feeling connected to their new home.

The USO has supported military spouses for many years and in 2016, launched a worldwide initiative focusing on programs to strengthen and empower military spouses by connecting them to others in their communities, simply over a cup of coffee.

What should I expect at a Coffee Connections?

These gatherings allow spouses to relax in a comfortable setting, share advice, learn about local attractions, and make new friends over a cup of coffee, craft, outing, and more. Spouses are encouraged to come as they are or bring other military spouses with them to join in on the friendly conversation.

Each Coffee Connections location has put their own spin on these events, allowing spouses to connect in a variety of ways through conversation, crafts, community outings, games, and more.
