The USO is essential to keeping the troops motivated in the field, and the services provided made the day for her troops when it was cold and raining. Troop satisfaction is huge. We can mold them into great soldiers, but if we cannot keep them in the military because they are miserable, then we are limiting our capabilities because we keep starting at the beginning. The USO helps with retention.
